NFL Draft: Who Will Move Up to Take Robert Griffin III?

Who will move up to take RG3 with the No. 2 overall selection in this year's draft?

With the St. Louis Rams recent decision to trade the #2 overall pick in this year's upcoming NFL Draft, rumors have been flying as to which team will be dealing with them before the opening round takes place April 26th.  The Browns (#4 overall), Redskins (#6 overall), and Dolphins (#8 overall) are the most likely suitors, with some reporting a sleeper team outside the top 10 who also has a desire to deal for the rights to take the reigning Hesiman winner.  RG3 locked down the second slot in the draft behind consensus number one pick and former Stanford QB Andrew Luck with his gaudy combine numbers this past Sunday, leading the quarterback group in both the 40 yard dash and the vertical jump.  Not only is he insanely athletic, he also has all the intangibles that GMs are looking for which makes him that much more desirable as a franchise quarterback. For these reasons, the Rams' asking price for that pick is going to be insanely high.  Reportedly, they're asking for the same package San Diego got from the New York Giants for Eli Manning when they took him first overall in 2004 - Two first round picks, a third rounder, and a fifth rounder. So the question is this: Which team has the picks and the balls to give up what is needed for an explosively athletic, intelligent, franchise-changing leader and quarterback?

Mike's NL Central Spring Training Preview: Milwaukee Brewers

Well baseball fans, the time is finally here! Pitchers and catchers have reported, the rest of the teams have been reporting throughout the week which of course signals the official start of Spring Training! Just as it has every year since the 1890's, spring ball offers fans the chance to see a rough draft of how their teams will play in the season to come. Up-and-comers get tons of hype, struggling veterans get critiqued and off-season acquisitions are examined under a microscope of scrutiny. I love the NFL, I love March Madness, and I love NCAA Bowl Season, but nothing compares to the start of spring training and, subsequently, MLB Opening Day. With my preview of the NL Central, I will provide key off-season moves, strongest and weakest areas of the team, and my prediction of where they'll stand when the World Series wraps up near the end of October.

Ryan Braun: Guilty or Innocent?

NL MVP Ryan Braun is the first player to successfully challenge a suspension for PEDs.

There are two sides to every story, and that includes the Ryan Braun PED story.  However, we have to keep in mind that other than the people who were actually present when the two sides argued this case, no one really has any idea what happened.  Sources have said this or that, but more than likely, we'll never really know all the facts of this case.  ESPN does a great job of reporting in circumstances like this, but they weren't in the courtroom.  Other than Ryan Braun, no one is ever really going to know if he took something illegal, and we have to keep that in mind.  That being said, everyone's going to have an opinion anyway; that's just the world we live in.  Here's the way I see it.

FDS's Milwaukee Brewers 2012 Season Preview

Will the Crew be able to repeat as NL Central Champs?

With pitchers and catchers having reported and position players coming within the next few days, it's finally Brewer season again.  Last season was the best in almost 30 years for the franchise when they advanced to the National League Championship Series and were crowned National League Central Division Champs.  However, there are tons of questions coming into this season.  Prince Fielder's gone and MVP Ryan Braun may be gone for the first 50 games.  What do the Brewers do without their two best players?  The answer: Rely on their pitching staff that almost carried them to the promised land last season.

Here I'll break everything down giving you projected opening day lineups, pitching rotations, under the radar players and stories, and things to look for in the upcoming 2012 season.

Should the Packers Franchise Matt Flynn and Then Try and Trade Him?

Now that the Packers have locked up Jermichael Finley for the next two seasons, we look ahead.  Personally, I was working under the assumption that the team would place the franchise tag on Finley because they wouldn't be able to come to a long-term agreement.  Clearly, however, I was wrong.  That leaves two key free agents for the Pack to consider - C Scott Wells and QB Matt Flynn.
